Second World War at Sea
North Atlantic
A Bismarck Analysis Book
In May 1941, the German battleship Bismarck broke out into the North Atlantic on an ill-considered mission to raid British shipping. After a short but intense career she was run down by her pursuers and destroyed before she could reach safety in German-occupied France.
Bismarck: North Atlantic is a background book for Second World War at Sea: Bismarck Second Edition. It’s similar in concept to Jutland: Battle Analysis 1914, a book of history, scenarios and game/historical analysis, all woven together to use our Second World War at Sea game system to tell the campaign’s story in a unique manner.
Like Jutland Battle Analysis, we look at each scenario in Bismarck and tell the story behind it, and how it relates to the naval campaign in the North Atlantic. And there are 24 new scenarios, bringing the game’s total to a shocking 70 play opportunities.
Bismarck Second Edition is already a very fine game, and for those who like some history in their games, North Atlantic adds even more. North Atlantic is a 64-page, large-format book supplement for Bismarck: Second Edition; you’ll need a copy of the game to play these scenarios.
