Infantry Attacks: Black Mountain brought you the story of the fierce battles waged between Austria-Hungary and Montenegro in August 1914 (and they were pretty fierce!). Fall of Montenegro picks up the story in September 1914, and carries it on through the collapse of Montenegro in January 1916 with 20 more scenarios (if that seems like a small number, the front remained very quiet between late 1914 and late 1915). Austria-Hungary carried out its war with Montenegro alone; the final offensive took place over strident German objections (the German general staff thought it a foolish diversion of resources).

Fall of Montenegro is a double-sized Campaign Study based on these final battles of the tiny mountain principality. It completes the story we began with Black Mountain. Austria-Hungary crushed her small neighbor without German aid, though at the tactical level the Montenegrins are well able to fight back. And they did. We have a 1914 chapter, and then skip ahead to the final offensive in late 1915 (the front remained extremely quiet in between).

You’ll need Black Mountain and Fall of Empires (for some K.u.K. regular infantry and more artillery) to play all of the scenarios.
